    Q. What is the Graduate Credit for Professional Development program?

    Ashland University, in partnership with ed2go, provides graduate credit required for the renewal of education certificates and for salary increases.

    Q. How does the program work?

    Student interested in receiving graduate credit will enroll and pay for a Teacher Professional Development course at your ed2go site. Students who are enrolled in one of the approved courses will be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to enroll at Ashland University for additional Graduate Credit.

    Within two weeks of beginning the course the student will register with Ashland University. To register, students simply e-mail Dr. Dan Vincent at dvincent@ashland.edu who coordinates the registration process. The student will remit payment for the Graduate Credit directly to Ashland University. Please note that this fee is in addition to your course price.

    Upon successful completion of the ed2go Teacher Professional Development course, students then submit their Certificate of Completion and support documentation along with their final project to Ashland University, who grades the project and issues the Graduate Credit. Ashland University will also issue transcripts when requested.

    Participants may earn two semester hours of graduate credit upon successful completion of an approved ed2go Online Course and final project. The cost is $300 for two graduate credits, due at the time of registration.

    Q. Do students have to complete additional assignments?

    Along with completing the approved ed2go course, passing all course quizzes, and receiving a score of at least 80 on the course final examination, students will be provided with an option on their class project that includes one of the following: Application Paper, Research Paper, Project Paper, Essay Paper, Technology Application or a Custom Designed Final Project.

    Q. Will there be any additional fees to my school?

    No, your students will enroll and pay for their ed2go course through your institution. You will be invoiced as your normally are. There are no additional fees to you.

    Q. Will students take any future ed2go Online Courses through Ashland University?

    The only relationship your student will have with Ashland University is for the Graduate credit. Students will continue to enroll in their 6-week Teacher Professional Development courses at your institution.

    Q. Will this Graduate Credit count towards a Graduate Degree?

    Typically students use professional development graduate credits to either renew their license/certificate or seek advancement on their district's professional learning incentive program. However, students enrolled in Ashland University's MEd Curriculum & Instruction program may use up to 6 semester hours of ed2go's graduate credit as electives in the program.

    From time to time, students have made requests by other universities to accept these professional development courses. That decision is made by the individual University.

    Q. Is undergraduate credit available?

    Undergraduate credit is available to licensed educators working in vocational schools who do not have a baccalaureate degree and to other school employees who can provide documentation that the undergraduate credit is acceptable for licensure renewal. Fees and course expectations are identical for undergraduate and graduate students. Students must notify the Ashland University Instructor upon registration of their undergraduate credit request.

    Q. Who is eligible to receive Graduate Level credit?

    Licensed education professionals working under a current educational baccalaureate or advanced degree may be awarded this graduate credit upon completion of course requirements.

    Q. Will students receive a letter grade?

    Only Satisfactory (S) and Unsatisfactory (U) grades will be assigned. The criteria for receiving a final passing grade are as follows:

    1. Succesfully complete the approved ed2go Online Course
    2. Pass all course quizzes
    3. Receive a score of at least 80 on the ed2go final examination
    4. Complete a satisfactory final project.

    Q. Can students withdraw and receive a refund?

    Students have three days following actual registration for Ashland University credit to withdraw and receive a full refund.

    Q. What is the Graduate Credit for Professional Development program?

    Ashland University's Professional Development Program for Educators provides graduate credit required for the renewal of education certificates and for salary increases. Ashland University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and is a member of the North Central Association.

    Q. How does the program work?

    The first step is to enroll and pay for a Teacher Professional Development course at an ed2go site near you. After doing this, you'll receive an email with an invitation to enroll with Ashland University.

    The second step is to register with Ashland University within two weeks of beginning your online course. Email Dr. Dan Vincent at dvincent@ashland.edu to begin the registration process. Payment for the graduate credit must go directly to Ashland University at the time of registration. This payment is separate and in addition to the price of your online course.
    Last, once you have successfully completed the ed2go Teacher Professional Development course, you'll submit your Certificate of Completion and support documentation along with your final project to Ashland University.
    Ashland University will grade your paper and issue the Graduate Credit.
    You will earn two semester hours of graduate credit for every successfully completed approved ed2go course and completion of a final class project. The cost is $300 for 2 Graduate Credits.

    Q. How soon after I complete all course requirements will I receive a final grade?

    If all course criteria have been met and you complete an acceptable final project, the grade will be posted within one week of the due date.

    Upon posting of the grade, you will receive an email notifying you that your grade is available online. Instructions will be provided on how to access the grade.

    Q. How do I view or print my unofficial transcripts?

    Students will receive an email announcing the posting of their final grade. This email will contain instructions on how the student may view their unofficial transcript online.

    Q. How to I obtain an official transcript?

    Official transcripts must be requested by the student directly through the University Registrar's Office. The link below will take you to a copy of the request form.

    Q. Who can I contact if I have any questions while the course is progressing?

    Students will be in contact with an Ashland University Instructor from registration through completion of the final project and posting of their course grade. Questions concerning the actual ed2go class experience should be directed to the ed2go class facilitator.
